Salary: Based on relevant sessional studio teaching rates and hours of work to the estimate of $14,000 gross income plus 10% super

About - Faculty of Architecture, Building & Planning

The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning is the leading educational and research institution in the Asia-Pacific region addressing the design and realisation of inhabited environments. It actively seeks to extend the linkages between education, research and practice in the built environment, and maintains excellent and extensive relationships with members of the built environment professions, government, professional associations and the wider community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your expertise to design and lead a Postgraduate Studio and provide deep understanding of industry processes and systems. With your experience in this field, your ability to provide expert subject knowledge that will result in high-level student outcomes will set you up for success in this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design a studio to deliver expert subject knowledge
  • Participate in student assessment
  • Attend and contribute in meetings as required by the Program Coordinator
  • Facilitate the completion of practical tasks
About You

Utilising your strong communication skills, you have the ability to identify students at academic risk and provide guidance when required. Your ability to share complex information in an easy-to-understand format and engage openly and proactively with students and colleagues will set you up for success in this role.

You will also have:
  • Industry expertise in a relevant discipline
  • Capacity to effectively deliver expert subject knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to provide user friendly service
