ABOUT THE POSITION ON OFFER
Superintendent - MEP - Transport Infrastructure - Australia
As a Superintendent within our Transport Major Projects business, you would offer solutions to our clients working within large scale infrastructure projects and intelligent transport technologies.
Working with a strong leadership team, you will be growing your knowledge to develop and provide technical advice and finding solutions for medium and large infrastructure projects.
The role of a Superintendent is responsible for ensuring all crews work to efficiently and safely implement construction methodologies in accordance with interfacing requirements and also responsible for supervise and oversee site construction activities of the site. Ensuring successful implementation of the project to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
- Attends site meetings with senior management to discuss progress of project, safety and the environment, IR and other project issues within the project area.
- Liaises with site management contractors for resolution of site technical construction matters
- Ensure that technical issues are addressed and positively resolved in appropriate time frames
- Works with the safety and quality co-ordinators to ensure the project has safety plans and procedures as well as operational policy procedures in place
- Reviews and maintains job safety analysis for all construction activities
- Ensures all construction work is carried out to the approved drawings and specifications and that correct work practices are always engaged
- Ensures efficient scheduling, planning, labour management and timely lodgement of claims
- Review the Testing and Commissioning Documentation from sub-contractors
- Ensure testing targets and objectives being met as defined in the project program
- Lead the planning and control of all testing requirements, resources and test equipment
About you:
- You will thrive in a technical environment, and able to solve a problem.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within a Supervisory position in a large engineering or construction project environment.
- Any relevant tertiary qualification in related industry discipline
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demand
