About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Rolling Stock Maintenance, in the capacity of Superintendent Plant Maintenance, you will have an overriding commitment to health, safety and environment within Rail. You will lead the plant maintenance teams and drive adherence to 1SAP work management processes and field leadership standards. You will consistently manage and mitigate asset risk to meet operational goals.
In this position you will:
- Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader by engaging, developing and coaching your team whilst ensuring an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
- Drive process improvement initiatives and align maintenance efforts with RSM's overall strategy
- Build business partnerships and foster collaboration across teams and departments to achieve shared objectives
- Train and mentor teams in Operating System Principles and Practices, and identify and implement high-impact improvement opportunities.
- Develop and present business cases to secure funding for maintenance initiatives.
- Develop and manage the Plant Maintenance budget.
To be successful in this role you possess excellent safety leadership skills combined with a history of field leadership participation. You are an effective and collaborative communicator with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously. You are results focused with a demonstrated track record working with others to achieve successful business outcomes.
In addition, you will ideally possess the following:

- Have practiced experience across a variety of plant operations
- Proven ability as a leader with a passion for developing, motivating, and mentoring team members.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead through influence.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in complex delivery environments.
- Electrical or Mechanical engineering experience (desirable)
- Possession of a current unrestricted West Australian 'C' class license.
- Knowledge of 1SAP work management.
- Exceptional risk management skills
