The Role
An excellent opportunity exists for a Supervisor – Electrical Assets to join the Maintenance Department within our Mount Isa Copper Operations. In this role your will effectively supervise and administer the Mine Pumping Electrical maintenance and installation crews including contractors to consistently deliver productive and efficient value-added outcomes to the company, all the while maintaining a safe and equal opportunity workplace.
This role will be on a 4:3 day shift roster and reports into the Superintendent Electrical and Communication.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- The leadership, health, and safety of the Mine Pumping Electrical team
- Maintaining statutory appointment of Person to Control Electrical Work for reference Tables 14 & 28
- Providing support to the reliability team on asset planning on equipment to improve reliability
- Optimisation of assigned resources and continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste
- Compliance to the weekly schedule to achieve established KPIs and compliance with forecast costs
- Communicating accurate and relevant information and insight to line management on daily performance and against the weekly schedule
- The management of the assigned cost centre and capital projects and contractors
- Developing a positive team culture in line with Glencore values including mentoring and coaching to build employee role competency
- Developing succession planning within the crew
- Providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance to Mount Isa Mines policies, standards and procedures for the Mine Pumping Electrical team
- Budget development and adherence to budget for the Mine Pumping Electrical team
- 5+ Years Electrician experience
- Underground mining experience preferred
- S1, S2 and S3 certificate
- Proven experience supervising and developing teams to deliver business outcomes
