Role & Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Procedures, Safety and Installations
Providing effective leadership and supervision to an Electrical team installing the site electrical assets, reducing operational risk and exposure
Ensure that Isolations and clearances are issued in accordance with OZ Minerals procedures
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure OZ Minerals’ compliance with applicable electrical legislation and standards
Work and assist planning personnel to maximise the amount of scheduled installations and minimise the impact on current operations.
Ensure electrical contractors working on site are appropriately trained and compliant with site electrical safety and equipment policies, This will also involve ensuring all critical and statutory training is kept up to date.
Work closely with the Superintendent in managing aspects of the maintenance budget and costs.
Producing, reviewing and auditing standard maintenance procedures.
Assist in providing systems for improving process and equipment reliability.
Where necessary, assist other groups to comply with electrical standards and legislation by acting as a “technical resource”
Participate in expansion preparations and lessons learnt sessions
Assist in providing improvement for systems and processes to maximise equipment reliability for hand over to operations
Act as a subject matter technical expert to other groups to comply with electrical standards and legislation
Ability to work on a flexible roster as per requirements
Applicant Requirements
At least 5 years’ experience in electrical workgroup supervision
Proven experience assessing equipment failures
Industrial processing experience with a continuous operation
HV/LV supply and reticulation system experience and knowledge
Rockwell Control Logix
Previous experience in a Fly In Fly Out role
Work in remote areas
Scope design out projects for equipment improvements.
