About the Role
As the Production Supervisor you will get to work in the largest pit in the Hunter Valley and be accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of productivity targets. You will be required to maintain a safe workplace, provide visible leadership and manage the effective utilisation of shift personnel and equipment resources to achieve the mine plan and production targets.
You will carry out inspections relating to compliance & procedures, demonstrate safe behaviours and be actively involved in field leadership activities.
Located in the lifestyle friendly Hunter Valley region working the 2/3 roster, this opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys a challenge, loves to be around the largest equipment in a great operation and has experience in a people leadership capacity. Find out more here.
About You
Your strong desire to work with your team to ensure they are delivering their best will see you well placed for success. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must allowing you to build relationships across the team with other Supervisors and departments.
Reporting to the Production Senior Supervisor, you will also have:
Demonstrated leadership experience in an open cut mining production environment
A background in leading a large team as a frontline supervisor or step up supervisor experience
You will have a proactive attitude towards safety, strong leadership abilities and be a team player
Demonstrate a strong commitment to identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
The collaboration skills to work across various stakeholders to ensure overburden and coaling activities are performed in line with the mine plan.
The successful applicant will be an experienced supervisor ideally with a current NSW OCE qualification or be a motivated and determined individual working towards completing your OCE practising certificate.
