The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is an international Christian organisation working towards the eradication of the causes and consequences of leprosy. We are a global network of organisations active in 34 countries around the world. We work in partnership with governments, local communities, health organisations, the World Health Organisation (WHO), local Government Organisations, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), local churches, and many others to achieve our vision of “Leprosy Defeated. Lives Transformed.”
A key function of our resourcing and fundraising activities is the sale of products and merchandise sourced globally from a network of artisans in developing countries through ethical Fair-Trade practices.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a highly competent administrator to support our inventory and logistics processes to achieve our goals of
- Providing an income and training for artisans living in poverty
- Developing sustainable products that are good for the environment
- Promote the work of the mission and generating funds for leprosy projects.
The Supply Chain Administrative Assistant will support the Inventory and Logistics Coordinator to effectively manage the supply chain activities (including imports) to ensure the amount of inventory meets customer demand. Working closely with the 3PL warehouse and other outsourced service providers they will provide excellent customer experience, including the following activities:
- Place and follow up purchase orders to maintain appropriate inventory within budgets to meet customer demand
- Provide administration support to ensure systems are kept up-to-date, and communication flows to and from fulfilment house.
- Assist with purchase of all goods and following up supplier orders
- Stock forecasting and monitoring stock levels
- Customer service support including liaising with outsourced service providers
- Stock and order reconciliations between various systems
- An understanding of and ability to operate within the Christian based beliefs, vision, mission and values of TLMA
- Experience in working in administrative or customer service role
- Excellent organisational and administration skills, including logistics and planning
- Display attention to detail and versatility in handling different tasks simultaneously
- An understanding of and commitment to excellence in customer service
- Ability to demonstrate initiative proactive to make appropriate decisions without referral
- Problem solving skills and a desire for continuous improvement
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work as part of a team, cross team and independently
- Excellent analysis skills and attention to detail, with an ability to summarise information as required
- Experience in supply chain management, logistics and procurement would be highly regarded.

The postholder must sign, be familiar with, and comply with all TLMA organisational policies, including the Safeguarding Code of Conduct, the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. All TLM staff are required to participate in mandatory safeguarding training.
