About You
Due to significant growth, we’re seeking a talented, highly motivated and passionate Supply Chain & Logistics Co-ordinator to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting high growth business as we roll out our national and international expansion plans.
The primary focus of the role is to facilitate and support the overall business, supply chain, end to end logistics, stock ordering, day to day management of procurement plans, outbound and inbound logistics for the brand and key external business partners. You will be accountable for delivering operational excellence for the supply team, overseeing the management of all order types
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end logistics for the brands both domestically and internationally
- Manage the warehouse operations, including the safety & compliance of the warehouse operations, annual stock-take, daily dispatch progress & the warehouse team
- Develop the supply chain strategy for each retailer, distributor & all major projects
- In conjunction with Finance review any significant changes in the forecast requirements compared to the prior month and provide advice on Demand vs. Supply
- Highlight supply planning process gaps and propose process improvements
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Purchase order management (create, change, cancel, close) with placement in a timely manner to support the production plans globally.
- Prioritise POs with manufacturers to meet retailer and sales expectations
- Order acknowledgement monitoring (Order confirmation, Advanced Ship Notice)
- Determine freight method mode including cost comparisons, dispatch dates, RFP’s, legal paperwork required for sea and air freight, customs compliance, duties & taxes.
- Project Management – to ensure all product projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Analyse category/SKU performance and link to inventory needs (during high-traffic periods such as gift and holiday seasons)
Requirements
- Experienced, results-driven and hands-on supply professional who is comfortable operating in complex and diverse environments and has a proven track record of improving efficiency and upgrading the demand planning function in an organization
- Understanding of international and national freight logistics
- Analytical and numerically strong. Makes fact-based decisions and prioritises accordingly
- A thorough understanding of product development and product lifecycle is advantageous
- Ability to develop insights that continuously improve forecasting and execution
- Successful track record of strategic planning
- Strong exposure and understanding of Distribution and Logistics, Commercial and Finance areas
- High computer literacy with strong understanding of stock management systems
- GS1 / Global Standards understanding
