Support Accountant- South Brisbane, Qld

The Support Accountant will be responsible for transactional finance activities, operational support and cash reconciliations support. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Team Leader, the Support Accountant will work within the Australian Corporate Travel division of Flight Centre Travel Group. This role will be joining a team of innovative high performers who rely on collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement to achieve market leading outcomes.

Duties and responsibilities

• Preparing reconciliations
• Providing financial transactional support to the operations team
• Supporting Corporate Brands area accountants with supplier payment runs
• Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve finance queries from all levels of internal stakeholders
• Ad Hoc tasks as required including investigations, payment functions, reviews and risk/compliance audits
• Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes

Experience

• 1-2 years in financial role or similar
• Partnering & Building Relationships
• Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)
• Great problem-solving skills, self-motivated and driven to exceed
• Completion (or substantial completion) of Undergraduate degree in Finance or similar - CA/CPA or working towards would be advantageous
