Our Community Services Team supports the City’s goals for providing services which support, engage, and improve the quality of life for all sections of the community by providing home-based care services for eligible residents within the City of Stirling. The City’s Day Clubs have a range of services, programs, and activities to enrich the wellbeing and lifestyle of the City’s residents.

The team is currently seeking a Support Worker to assist in the provision of group social support and engaging activities for seniors who attend the City’s Days Clubs programs. The is a maximum term full time position until 30 June 2023 with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will have experience in working effectively as part of a team, ideally delivering dementia, culturally diverse or Men’s specific programming. In this role you would contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and assist in ensuring the safety, comfort and personal needs of clients are prioritised and met.

In addition, to be considered for this role, you’ll possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

Certificate III in Aged Care / Disability or equivalent.
Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
C Class Driver’s Licence.
Ability to work well with others (staff, volunteers) and provide a duty of care to clients.
Experience working with seniors and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

The maximum term position is a level 2/3 Inside Workforce Agreement salary ranging from $57,765.92 - $64,276.87 per annum plus superannuation.
