Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with a disability such as mental health, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.

About the Role
Our Participant is urgently looking for a male disability Support Workerwho have experience in supporting clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD Level 3)
Your role will involve assisting the participants with ongoing support to help him achieve his goals. You must be fit and active to engage into outdoor activities including surfing.
You will need to be available for shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday.
Clients Supports Needs:
- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Prompting assistance: personal care, meal preparation and managing appointments
- Physical assistance required with domestic duties and other tasks as required
- Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families.
- Community access
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable
- Experience in ASD and BOC
- Must have a Queensland driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
