About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist participants in a supported living environment according to their individual needs and life goals to help them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community. Your day-to-day tasks will revolve around providing support with daily living, including personal care, domestic duties, various skill development activities, medication administration, and social and community participation.

We're looking for people with excellent people skills, whilst previous industry experience is favorable, you will need to have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life of our participants by allowing them to have choice and control over their lives.

Support Experience:
Mobility
- Attendant propelling wheelchair
- Positioning in Wheelchair
- All transfers (Including manual handling, pivoting disks, and standing hoists)
Selfcare Tasks
- Showering
- Grooming
- Dressing/Undressing
- Toileting – Incontinence management
- Medication management
- Eating/Drinking
Domestic Tasks
- Cooking/Meal Preparation
- Laundry
- Cleaning tasks (Including both light and heavy cleaning tasks)
Instrumental Tasks
- Community access
- Shopping
- Managing appointments
- Managing Finances
Emotional/Behavioural
- Managing fluctuating emotions and corresponding outbursts

You must have (or be willing to obtain) the following:
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, with the potential for working active nights
- Certificate III in Disability or an equivalent qualification completed or in progress or willingness to obtain.
- Current CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- National Police Check
- Valid Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain
- Valid Australian Driver Licence
- Working with Children Blue Card or willingness to obtain
