AddressWe are currently seeking a dedicated Surgical Dental Assistant with experience in full arch surgery to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting our oral surgeons during complex dental procedures, particularly those involving full arch implant surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist oral surgeons during full arch implant surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental x-rays, CT scans, and other diagnostic images as needed for treatment planning.
- Provide chairside assistance to the oral surgeon during surgery, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Educate patients about pre-operative and post-operative care instructions, including oral hygiene and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including surgical notes and post-operative progress reports.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe and sterile surgical environment.
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the dental team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Advantages:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Experience in dental assisting, specifically full arch surgery preferred but not required; we value finding the right person for the role above all else.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic bedside manner.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
