Short summary: We are currently on the lookout for a Junior System Administrator seeking to expand their capabilities whilst supporting and enhancing diverse technical infrastructure and mission-critical services.
About the role:
As the System Administrator, you will work in a dynamic team to enhance and operate mission-critical managed infrastructure and systems and to support various corporate and government projects within an integrated workforce.
This role will require you to obtain an Australian Government security clearance and you have to be eligible to apply. The role will work under the supervision of a senior system engineer.
About you:
Joining our team, you will become hands-on in constructing, supporting, and enhancing modern and diverse technical environments, including secure gateways, Windows and Linux servers, network infrastructure, security information and event management (SIEM), database and application software running within virtualised environments. You will have the capability to influence and enhance all aspects of service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
- At least 2 years of related technical experience.
- Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain NV1 clearance
- Be a dynamic and lateral thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
- Be customer-focused with capable interpersonal and written communication.
- Be honest and intelligent with a long-term vision of success.
Technical experience should include at least two of the following:
- Linux (Redhat/CentOS platforms)
- Microsoft server technologies
- Shell script programming
- Network, gateway and security infrastructure
- Virtualisation and/or Containerisation (VMware/docker)
- RDBMS in SQL Server and/or Oracle
