Tax Manager - Compliance & Operations
Our client is a Top 100 ASX listed ethical business within the Healthcare industry. Due to some changes in the team, we are seeking Tax Manager to join Group Tax reporting to the Head of Tax.
The business is seeking to both grow its existing markets and develop new growth pathways, the tax function has a critical role in delivering on this. We are looking for a person who will be principally responsible for the compliance and governance function but who is also able to support the advisory and M&A responsibilities of the tax team as required.
This role has a high level of autonomy and is critical in ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting to management, the board and the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Principally responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax reporting, including:
Tax Effect Accounting
Group Consolidated Tax Returns & supporting schedules
FBT Returns
Activity Statements
Country by Country (CBC) reporting
Undertake internal reviews to ensure compliance processes consistent with Tax Governance Framework
Responding to technical queries from business units
Undertake process improvement reviews and lead the teams automation projects
Providing technical support and guidance to the business divisions.
Support tax team with advisory/M&A as required
Actively promote and live the company's values and behavioral objectives through your day-to-day activities, ensuring your actions continually support a collaborative, information sharing, courteous and respectful working environment.
Proactively adhere to and comply with all company WHS and injury management policies, procedures and training requirements designed to drive a safe working environment.
Skills & Experience of the successful candidate:
Skills:
A passion for tax plus strong tax technical knowledge including the proven ability to deliver practical advice. You will need to be able to make finely balanced judgements in a fast moving and complex environment.
Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly identify and understand the relevant commercial context.
Excellent communication and professional interpersonal relationship skills.
Commitment to genuine collaboration with peers.
Proven project management experience and ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders.

Experience:
Working as a Manager in a Big 4, large Accounting firm or corporate equivalent for minimum 5 years.
