Overall support for Australian Tax Operations functions and activities. In particular, the role exists to provide strong support on the tax accounting, tax reporting and tax compliance requirements for ANZ entities. The role is responsible for supporting the provision of accurate and timely financial information and taxation data reporting to a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly the Australian Taxation Office. In addition, this role requires close collaboration with our Tax Centre of Excellence colleagues in India as well as providing support across the Tax Operations team in areas such as Transfer Pricing and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Tax accounting and reporting processes, including half year balance date reporting
Assist in the preparation of all tax items disclosed in ANZ group annual report
Income tax return preparation, including preparation of relevant work papers and supporting schedules
Provision of information and data requests to external stakeholder (the Australian Taxation Office), including some direct interface with the ATO
An interest in the use of tax technology to achieve compliance outcomes including opportunities for process improvement
