Spinifex Junior Campus is a Mount Isa secondary school for students in grade 7, 8 and 9. We have a student population of over 500 from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. Our school is the largest secondary school in the north west providing a quality education to students from Mount Isa and surrounding communities. About the Role:
Responsibilities of a Teacher Aide include:
- Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher
- Assisting teaching staff with playground supervision
- Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families
- Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member
- Assisting teachers and students with sporting activities and with school excursions.
- Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources.
The role will suit someone wanting to work school hours (approximately 8.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday). Teacher aides also enjoy the benefits of only working during school terms.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
