About the role:
Box Hill Institute is seeking a Civil Construction Teacher to lead the Centre of Excellence Program run at Beechworth Correctional Facility. This role involves delivering training in excavator operations, skid steer load operations and license to Operate a Forklift truck.
The Civil Construction Program aims to deliver a set of skills to turn participants into job-ready prospective employees in the Construction Centre.
BHI have partnered with Corrections Victoria to deliver nationally accredited educational/industry based programs within a number of Victorian Correctional Facilities/Sites.
The incumbent will provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to learners within Corrections Victoria’s sites to support student success in courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways and ensure BHI compliance requirements are met.

Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant industry/education qualifications and/or equivalent experience
- A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
- Experience with building or engineering design using AutoCAD including the use of 3D modelling
