Northern Beaches Secondary College (NBSC) Cromer Campus is a Year 7-12 comprehensive, coeducational campus located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney with an enrolment of 879 students and trend data indicates continued enrolment growth. This includes six support classes for students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
The school enrolment is characterised by an even distribution of boys and girls. Our school community is culturally and linguistically diverse. Thirty four percent of students have a non-English speaking background, and 17 students identify as having an Aboriginal background.
We are one of five campuses in the Northern Beaches Secondary College, which provides our students with opportunities to access a wide range of enrichment and curriculum choices, including a comprehensive range of academically challenging HSC subjects and access to a range of TAFE courses.
At NBSC Cromer Campus there is a strong emphasis on high impact teaching strategies and high expectations across all areas of school life. Cromer Campus is a Positive Behaviour Engaging Learners (PBEL) school with whole school focus areas including Visible Learning and the delivery of quality literacy programs with an emphasis on writing. The staff are passionately committed to school improvement due to high levels of teacher collaborative efficacy and the school enjoys strong parental and community support.

Demonstrated ability to provide engaging and challenging differentiated programs to meet diverse student learning and wellbeing needs, including the needs of gifted and talented students and students needing learning support.
Ability to implement high impact teaching strategies, positive classroom management strategies, and literacy, numeracy and writing initiatives.
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions Apply)
