About the role
TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Transport and Logistics to join our team of Teachers to deliver training to a range of student cohorts at the Mount Druitt and Wetherill Park Campus. The role requires you to tailor your delivery to school-based apprentices, trade apprentices and post and pre-trade delivery.
This role will be required to work across locations within the Western Sydney and Sydney Region. Please refer to the list of campuses .
The role is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners, and enhances the student learning experience. As a professional educator you will skill the workforce of tomorrow by constructing and guiding the educative process with a mixture of online, workshop and classroom delivery. In the role, you will deliver face-to-face educational programs and facilitate practical learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.
We have the following permanent full-time roles:
- Teacher of Transport and Logistics located at Mount Druitt Campus
- Teacher of Transport and Logistics located at Wetherill Park Campus
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements: * Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications, and hold the Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations TLI30321 (logistics or warehousing), equivalent or higher qualification. With a commitment to maintain technical industry currency.
- Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years relevant, and post-qualification, experience in the transport or construction industry relevant to your qualification/s, gained no longer that five (5) years previously. With the ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
