The Role

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Team Leader Asset Planning to join our Networks Engineering & Planning team in Eagle Farm Qld or Kidman Park SA on a one-year fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Manager, Asset Strategy and Planning, you will play a key role in the future of gas distribution networks in Australia and the transition to renewable fuels. As part of the leadership team, you will help shape the direction, and develop and implement best practices for Asset Management, Network Capacity Management, Biomethane and Hydrogen injection, and Mains Replacement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Asset Planning team South Australia and Queensland
  • Drive and govern the development of gas network asset lifecycle strategies and transition strategies to renewable fuels and develop industry best practices for Asset Management
  • Capacity management: develop augmentation programme of work, maintain network capacity and assess major customer demand impact
  • Mains Replacement: develop mains replacement strategies and programme of work
  • Review distribution system performance and develop Asset Management plans
About You
  • Tertiary engineering qualifications with extensive experience in operations, design, project management or strategic planning.
  • Experience in Asset Management, preferably utility assets
  • Previous experience with managing/leading small technical teams is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience with developing and utilising asset management systems, processes and tools is desirable.

We manage and operate transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
