We seek a Team Leader/Assistant Strata Manager to join our BCS Branch in Southport, QLD. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this key role assists with managing our assistant strata manager’s day-to-day operations. You’ll join a team that prides itself on having fun while working hard to be the best in the industry.
Role Objectives:
Operations Management
o Work with the Branch Manager to establish, communicate and monitor goals
o Support the team by celebrating successes and, at the same time learning from mistakes
o Ensure procedures and policies are enacted and adhered to, including legislative timeframes.
o Quality control of documentation and processes
o Coach, mentor and train Assistant Strata Managers
o Provide backup support for staff as required
Staff Management
o Create a culture of openness and information sharing in support of PICA’s values
o HR & HRIS responsibilities for the team, including leave requests
o Hold monthly 1:1 Honest Conversations
o Manage performance problems and resolve employee issues
o Partner with People Experience to hire top talent for PICA
o Onboard and train new staff
Branch Operations Support
o Continue to provide portfolio support to SMs (anticipate 70/30 split)
o Liaise with portfolio Team Leaders to allocate and manage ASM support to assigned SMs
o Manage additional ASM support for onboarding of new plans and overflow
Experience & Education:
You have at least one year of prior management or supervisory experience, preferably in the professional services industry—E.g. Real estate, financial services, legal, insurance, etc.
Diploma or degree (preferred) in management or related field.
Leadership competencies include building trust, delegating responsibilities, planning and organising, identifying and selecting talent, coaching and developing employees, and building a successful team.
Strata knowledge of (or ability to learn) the role of the client and strata operations and how those roles interface.
