The Role

As a Team Leader you'll provide leadership, support and direction to a team of Community Support Workers ensuring a high level of care and service is provided to our clients, whilst demonstrating and promoting Amana Living’s Philosophy of Care and core values. 

Key responsibilities:

• Providing day to day support, mentoring, coaching and guidance to CSWs 
• Facilitating the onboarding, orientation and training of new CSWs to Home Care, including the issuing of company property and equipment 
• Role modelling best practice when delivering client care 
• Maintaining regular communication with CSWs wherever possible to establish and maintain relationships and provide direction toward expected outcomes 
• Conducting CSW onsite visits in relation to performance issues, staff requests and to provide ongoing support to staff 
• Responding to CSW queries or concerns, providing direction and assistance in a timely manner 
• Processing and monitoring leave requests and history in conjunction with the Workforce Lead 
• Monitoring all staff records and support individual key workers to develop positive working relationships with clients 
• Follow up with any incidents/hazards involving CSWs in a timely matter 

About you

This role will ideally suit a person with aged care sector experience including CSW's looking to take the next step in their career.  The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities, and be able to positively build and nurture relationships with CSWs and other key stakeholders. 

Essential Criteria:

• Evidence of COVID-19 and 2024 Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
• C Class driver’s license
• Previous aged care, community care, disability and/or health sector experience (highly desirable) 
• Knowledge of the Aged Care industry and Home Care Standards and Guidelines (desirable) 
• Clinical assessment skills, preferably within Aged Care or Health Sector (desirable) 
• Tertiary qualifications in frontline management (desirable) 
• Previous experience in mentoring, leading teams, facilitating meetings, training/education sessions (desirable)
