What You Will Be Doing
A great leadership position is available for a fixed term period within the Family Violence Program within Peninsula Health
Peninsula Health Family Violence Service focuses on perpetrators of family violence to keep them in view and plays a role in holding them accountable for their actions and changing their behaviour through working in partnership and accessing coordinated support from community, health and justice services. The Family Violence Program operates together with a variety of strategies addressing family violence which includes counselling, advocacy and group work that focuses on the prevention of family violence
If you are a Senior Social Worker or Psychologist looking for the next step towards leadership , The team leader role within the Family Violence Service within Peninsula Health may be just what you are looking for.
The Peninsula Health Family Violence Team Leader will provide leadership to a team of specialist Family Violence Practitioners who receive and manage all family violence referrals for men and their families ( Mens Behaviour Change Program), and adolescents (Keep Families Safe Program – Adolescent Violence within the Home).
What You Need
- Do you want to work in a busy, dynamic and evolving sector that is receiving more government investment than ever before?
- Do you want to change the story for people affected by family violence?
- A relevant graduate qualification in Social Work or Psychology
- Eligibility for full membership of either the AASW or APS
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of providing competency based Board approved supervision
- Substantial relevant experience in the Family Violence sector that demonstrates the Core Competencies, Attributes and Capabilities
