About the opportunity

The HR Advisory and Recruitment Team Leader works collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and implement contemporary human resource initiatives and programs to ensure that Helping Hand can attract, retain and manage a highly engaged and committed workforce. This newly created position will provide support and advice to the Manager HR Services and other managers across the organisation relating to recruitment, onboarding, induction, contract management/administration, industrial instruments, employee/industrial relations, and remuneration and employee benefits.

Essential
  • A degree or equivalent in Human Resources, or an equivalent body of professional knowledge gained through experience
  • Strong proficiency across human resource disciplines including recruitment and employee/industrial relations complemented by a strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices, standards and industrial legislation
  • Demonstrated experience role modelling and leading a team to deliver a high quality and positive customer experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor delivery to varying stakeholder levels and preferences
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Able to work independently, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Respect for confidential information obtained internally and externally
  • Extensive experience and high level skills with technology and in particular Office suite of products, recruitment and/or other databases
