Team Leader - Occupational Therapy & Social Work Temporary part time – 24 up to 36 hours per week

Colac Area Health (CAH) is a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, and Community Care to a catchment population of approximately 30 000.  Situated in the Colac Otway Shire, one of the most picturesque Victorian municipalities that provides city conveniences with a country charm close to beaches, waterfalls, and the Otway hinterland.

This role is responsible for the professional and effective operational leadership of an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapy, Social / Welfare Work Services and Allied Health Assistants. This position will provide and coordinate clinical guidance to staff and ensuring best practice service provision within the scope of Colac Area Health Services.

What’s required? 

  • Bachelor Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy or Social Work and relevant registration.
  • Eligibility for practising membership with Occupational Therapy Australia or Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Experience as a Grade 2 clinician with demonstrated clinical expertise, specialist knowledge and experience with a range of clinical presentations across a range of settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing staff, program delivery and outcomes.
  • Experience in providing supervision and performance improvement support to staff.
  • Experience managing and supporting teams and developing a positive team culture.
  • Developed skills in research and established skills in the review of literature.
  • The ability to manage multiple funding sources and allocation of resources to meet funded clinical activity and funder obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement changes in service delivery models, with an adeptness to flexible and adaptable solution finding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • IT competency.
