About the role
The position of day shift Production Team Leader is a full-time role which works 38hrs per week Mon to Fri daywork plus some overtime. You will work with and lead a small team making key decisions reflecting GMP, Safety, Quality, Cost, based on established Production Schedule expectations. You will be able to do general mechanical repairs, work with basic robotics re-sets, understand with training our automated mix room and tank systems.
A highly competitive hourly rate of pay will be paid to the right candidate who will have some mechanical / team leader and or a similar background e.g. GMP / best practice.
As the team leader, you will work as part of the production team in the manufacturing and packaging of dialysis solutions.
Your day to day responsibilities include:
- Prepare & organise materials and equipment required for production
- Plan & Monitor equipment/quality and work safety requirements according to schedules
- Liaise with Production team and ensure production schedule is adhered to
- Meet Production Schedule
- Prepare job order/batches material according to daily/weekly schedule with the Production Manager
- Organise materials and equipment to be used to blend batch
- Monitor and check all batches are done with the correct handling of chemicals on safety and quality requirements.
- Prepare batch paper work and samples for quality control
- Approve batch documentation for production with assistance of the Quality Assurance Manager
- Perform routine maintenance and services on production equipment
- Monitor the High Purity Water Generator system
- Assist in the training of staff
- Assist with customer complaint investigations
- Safety, Sustainability and a focus on recycling
You will possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
- 3 plus years of manufacturing experience in a GMP / ISO certified environment
- General mechanical skills (qualified fitter, automation, pneumatics, conveyors, electronics).
- Forklift license holder & experienced forklift operator is an advantage
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with all production staff and departments
- Well-developed literacy, numeracy and clerical skills
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Word & Excel )
- Understanding & practice of OH&S/WHS and great hygiene habits.
- Some chemistry knowledge would be an advantage
