About the Opportunity
The Team Leader’s primary focus will be on the leadership, coaching, training, development, and motivation required within their respective team to ensure the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) expectations are met. The Team Leader will be responsible for either the SAET Registry Team or the SAET Member Support Team.
The incumbent should have a proven ability in leading and working collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to and encouraging a culture of teamwork, service delivery excellence and shared responsibility for achieving results. The incumbent must have a proven ability to think strategically and recommend practical, efficient and effective solutions. The incumbent must have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to communicate with diverse audiences and knowledge of Tribunals or Courts.
As a member of the SAET Management team, the Team Leader will work in collaboration with the Management team to plan and ensure the delivery of SAET’s strategic goals. Responsibilities include:
- Making good quality decisions in alignment with operational policies and procedures and ensuring consistency of support to Members.
- Delivering standardised service for all Members.
- Dealing with complexities of service delivery.
- Facilitating workplace relationships, initiating business improvements and leading management and development of team members whilst balancing competing demands.
- Working between multiple jurisdictions to ensure consistency and procedural correctness.
- Dealing with all information on the Member’s behalf in a transparent manner in order not to create any bias to any party and protecting the integrity of the Member.
The South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) is established under the South Australian Employment Tribunal Act 2014 to deal with employment related matters. SAET is South Australia’s forum for resolving workplace-related disputes and issues including:
- Work related injury disputes (Return to Work)
- Employment and industrial disputes
- Certain work-related prosecutions
- Industrial awards, agreements and register
Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
