Job Description

Position Overview:
The Technical Communications Team Lead (TCTL) will report to the Integrated Product Support Manager and lead the Technical Communications team. Comprising of technical writers and Illustrators. The TCTL will oversee the development of EOS Technical Communications products and related data. Applicants in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are encouraged to apply.

The TCTL is expected to be an active member of the Technical Communications team and contribute to the authoring of documentation.

Primary Duties:
Ensure EOS Technical Communications meet the required need. The suite of technical communications products will include (but are not limited to):

a) Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs)

b) Operator & Maintenance Manuals

c) Illustrated Parts Catalogues, and

d) Manufacturing Process Instructions

Provide publications to ASD S1000D standards and format using the R4i Suite of software and publishing packages.

Drive continuous improvement in systems, methods and processes to ensure the Technical Communications functions and processes are operating efficiently.

Provide oversight for the development and delivery of technical communication.

Lead the Technical Communications team consistent with the goals and objectives of the company.

Assign activities based on workload and expertise within the team.

Maintain Technical data records, files and archives.

Develop and implement strategies that demonstrate forward thinking and innovation for how publications are authored and distributed.

Engage with EOS engineering groups both locally and internationally to ensure requirements are identified and met.

Engage the Project and ILS Managers regarding their specific Technical Communication requirements.
