The role of Technical Consultant at RLDatix has become available for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our professional services team focused primarily on working with our Defence sector clients in Canberra.  The role will require the candidate to be an Australian Citizen and must be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.  Candidates with an existing security clearance is highly desirable.

Continually developing workforce planning software for other industries, we specialise in resource scheduling solutions for healthcare, Defence, maritime, offshore engineering and cruise and ferry sectors.

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver technical consultancy services to support the deployment and use of RLDatix’s suite of products.

You will also be required to engage directly with end users, interpret requirements, participate in creating, testing, documenting and delivering customised applications to client specifications.

You will be expected to resolve technical issues, through your own technical skillset as well as working with the internal technical team.

A strong ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users for the purpose of requirements gathering, functional specification creation, business analysis, training and client liaison will be fundamental to success in this role.

The Key Skills required for this role are:

·         Excellent SQL Server programming skills (Transact-SQL)

·         Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VB/VBA and C#/VB.NET;

·         Experience with Client/Server as well as Web Platforms;

·         Strong Client Facing Skills;

·         Excellent English Communication Skills (written & verbal – mandatory);

·         Previous experience as a Technical Consultant or Software Engineer.

Highly Regarded Skills:

·         Defence knowledge or previous experience with this sector;

·         SSRS;

·         Java;

·         IIS Server knowledge;

·         SQL Server 2012/2014 or higher;

·         Windows Server Administration;

·         Windows Networking (TCP/IP)
