Job Description & Summary

PwC’s Cloud Computing and Networking practice helps our clients transform their business through innovative technology solutions and effective IT Service Management. Part of that journey includes helping our clients enable innovation, reinventing their customer experience, and exploring new markets.

You will be immersed in a variety of different projects, groups, and locations while getting inspired through your community to grow as an individual as well as a team. Our diverse client service teams encourages out-of-the-box thinking, problem solving, great team mentality and a curiosity for understanding the latest in technology.

With PwC, you’ll ignite a meaningful career while being supported by a flexible working culture, innovative learning and development opportunities and progressive policies and benefits, such as 18 weeks paid parental leave for mums, dads and foster carers (no minimum service!)

What will you create?

You’ll help Australian businesses, not-for-profits and governments create value and improve the way they work. From digitising healthcare, to creating smarter cities and igniting our start-up industry, together we build trust in society and solve important problems.

Consulting brings this to life by helping clients improve the way they operate, reduce costs, manage risks, leverage talent, or fundamentally change the way they do business. Your work here will help organisations of all shapes and sizes work smarter and grow faster.

As a Technical Lead in our Digital Innovation & Cloud Engineering team your impact will be seen by:

  • Providing hands-on engineering leadership, with decision-maker responsibility for application level design, on client projects across different industries and domains - a technical team leader capable of leading one or multiple squads during delivery, leading the end to end technology from early discovery stages or inception to development and through to deployment into production

  • Providing thought leadership and a culture of technical innovation in the team, being heavily involved in the design and development of the systems from architectural principles, mentoring, code reviews, showcases, and facilitating technical solutions with the team

  • Driving collaboration with cross-functional squads & Product Owners to identify, elaborate and estimate functional and non-functional requirements

  • Strong team & stakeholder management skills with the ability to identify, communicate and mitigate potential problems, risks and issues to the team and broader stakeholders

  • Experience with Micro Frontend architecture, Microservices architecture and Serverless architecture, preferably using AWS

  • Fostering research and education into the latest frontend and backend technology trends and best practices

About you

You have a background in web application development and are skilled in using React for frontend development and using NodeJS and/or Java for backend development, with excellent coding skills and an unwavering commitment to quality, and hold an understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Passionate about being at the forefront of change, you’re ready to help our Consulting team deliver practical advice that speaks straight to the heart of client business issues and deliver innovative results.

You’re collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment. You’re a problem solver by nature and want to join a firm that values the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and stakeholders. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with.

Life at PwC

Our culture and benefits are something we’re proud of, and also why we’re consistently named as one of Australia’s best workplaces. With PwC, you’ll belong to an inclusive community where differences are both embraced and the underlying driver in everything we create together.

We empower you with the technology, coaching, flexibility and trust needed to make a meaningful difference, while supporting you in bringing your whole self to work each day. We’re committed to building and maintaining a diverse workforce because we know it’s only by working together that we can realise the potential of our people, clients and society around us.

We’re living this commitment through initiatives including our Reconciliation Action Plan to increase Indigenous employment and employee-led diversity networks promoting cultural, disability, LGBTI and gender equality. At our core we’re a people business, which means you’ll be supported not just in your professional development but your personal growth as well.

Chaithra Pawar is the Recruitment Manager for the role. As the team experiences high volumes of applications, we appreciate your patience to allow for a timely and fair process for all.

PwC is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of our people, as well as visitors to our offices and events.

PwC has introduced a COVID-19 Vaccination policy that requires all staff, contractors, clients and visitors to be fully vaccinated before they can access our offices, attend client sites, undertake work-related travel, or attend work-related events, subject to limited exemptions.
