The Department of Educations' Cloud Applications team within the Information & Technologies Branch, is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial role in technical advice and services, including troubleshooting, deployment and testing activities across various Microsoft M365 technologies.

About the Role:
As a Technical Officer, you will play a crucial role in the configuration and management across various Microsoft M365 technologies. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Configuring M365, Power Platform, SharePoint, and Teams: Collaborate with Senior Project Officers to set up and optimize these platforms.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Management: Provide support related to SharePoint online as well as troubleshoot application and internet filtering connection issue using tools like Wireshark and Splunk.
- Business Requirements Translation: Assist in translating business needs into technical configurations.
- Documentation Development: Contribute in the creation of business, technical, and training documentation.
- Project Support: Assist in project delivery and issue resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business users, developers, and IT professionals.
- Technology Trends: Stay informed about new technology trends and recommend improvements for existing systems and processes.
About the ideal candidate:
- Relevant Professional Experience: You have a background in IT, Business, or Systems.
- Microsoft Technology Experience: Experience configuring and management of M365, the Power Platform, SharePoint, Project Online, and Teams.
- PowerShell Scripting and Automation: Some experience with PowerShell Scripting and Automation would be favourable.
- Business Requirements Translation: Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations.
- Project Environment Familiarity: Exposure to project environments, including document preparation, reporting, and training materials.
- Quick Learner: Ability to learn and support new software and solutions.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Being Super Organised: Being thorough and strong administration skills and experience
