About the facility
Barwon Health - Clinical Engineering & Telecommunication is responsible for the management of a wide range of medical devices and technologies. The department manages the medical devices and medical systems throughout their life cycle. The management of the department is committed to provide the required leadership to maintain and enhance the quality management system. Concern for quality and compliance is built into our work. Our management processes conform to the quality management standard ISO 9001:2015.
We are also responsible for many other areas including Clinical IT, Nurse Call and duress systems, Telecommunications and Audio-visual systems.
About the role
To perform a variety of routine, complex and specialised tasks associated with the installation and maintenance of therapeutic, diagnostic and life support Biomedical equipment.

Essential: Diploma in Electronics or equivalent, Biomedical Equipment Technology
Essential: Demonstrated prior experience as a Biomedical Technical Officer or familiarity with biomedical devices common to health care facilities
Desirable: Competency in applying biomedical and electronic principles
Essential: Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision
Desirable: Demonstrated knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to use of electro-medical equipment
