Scope of role
The Technical Product Manager needs to be our technical expert on all aspects of the RecordPoint product solution including the technical and logical architectures. As well as being able to lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products. They will be the trusted technical advisor to our customers and partners and help define technical approaches and solutions in conjunction with Engineering teams.
The Technical Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Technical Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Responsibilities
Work with the head of product to develop strategic goals for RecordPoint's product lines.
Own converting those strategic goals into features, epics, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
Develop & validate technical product initiatives that add value and solve real problems for our customers through continuous product discovery
Lead & manage technical product initiatives from ideation through to launch and beyond together with our engineering, UX, marketing, sales, professional services, and support teams
Be the voice of the customer through in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis, market research, and competitive analysis
Embed yourself in your engineering squad to deliver innovative and viable solutions to customer problems
Establish, monitor, and report on success measures that align with your technical product vision and the overarching business objectives
Develop product packaging and commercial models that support our revenue targets
Triage bugs and high-priority customer service requests to maintain customer satisfaction without disrupting the sprint cadence.
Activities
Contribute to overall business planning activities
Define and maintain your product vision and roadmap
Maintain and prioritize your product delivery backlog
Define, measure & report on success metrics associated with in-flight product initiatives
Align success measures with overarching business goals and objectives
Ensure business telemetry and metrics are defined and built into every engineering deliverable
Engage with internal & external stakeholders to build a balanced, value-driven roadmap of product initiatives
Build a shared understanding of the problem we are trying to solve for our customers with our engineering teams
Build a shared understanding of the value proposition for new products, features, and enhancements with our marketing, sales, and professional services teams
Validate & test new product initiatives with internal & external stakeholders for value, demand, usability, and feasibility
Conduct market analysis to uncover new business opportunities
Conduct competitor analysis to maintain an up-to-date view of our solutions competes in the marketplace
Maintain technical product collateral for sales, field, and support teams
Participate in Agile ceremonies to provide the voice of the customer
Participate in and represent customer voice in broader planning activities
Conduct backlog grooming & prioritization with your engineering squad
Conduct product discovery programs with our customers to validate and test new products and features
Maintaining product packaging and pricing
Prioritize the backlog to ensure that the development teams are always focused on the highest impact items.
Lead the rituals with the development team including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Productize professional services requests to enhance the product where appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Proven experience, minimum 4 years, in Product Management
Technical background, with experience in cloud-based software development
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
High-level attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
Open-minded, collaborative, and entrepreneurial personality
Highly effective cross-functional team management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
