Join us as Technical Promotions Manager where you will be Identifying, creating and implementing a contact plan for the target group (e.g. consultants, end customers, system integrators and switchboard builders) to present the ABB value proposition. Building a long-term sustainable relationship with the target group to develop an understanding of trends and market movements, communicating insights to ABB network in Electrification Business Area.You will be reporting to National Technical Promotions Manager, and you will be based in Notting Hill, Australia.

Your responsibilities

  • Creating demand for the ABB EL product portfolio across all the stakeholders being the likes of end customers, consultants, switchboard builders, system integrators and supporting the ABB channel partners
  • Focusing on the Power & Industry segment establishing and maintaining effective relationships across all the stakeholders and engaging at all levels to be able to deliver an effective value proposition tailored specifically to the client’s needs
  • Establishing the overall promotional/engagement plan for the target group. Actively supporting pre-defined sales and marketing engagements regarding the target group. Supporting business development by identifying and creating new business opportunities. Working closely with other ABB units in order to provide a complete and competitive solution, able to identify additional opportunities for business growth
  • Establishing a vision for committed, loyal, long-term customer relationships and implements steps to reach a shared vision. Analyzing and updating target group information (e.g. understanding customer`s process, organization, projects, strategy and vision)
  • Maintaining team success by taking into account other functions and ensuring collaboration
  • Continuously developing own and supporting other team members in technical and soft skills competences
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know how sharing and cross collaboration. Engaging in industry bodies to build peer networks and domain knowledge

Your background

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business or equivalent
  • Preferred to have 5-10 years of experience in a Business Development Technical role in a similar field and to have proven few years of experience in Marketing or Sales roles
  • Ability to work in a multinational environment and in a matrix organization
  • Flexibility in travelling within the specified area
  • Preferred knowledge of the ABB division product portfolio and the organization
  • Capable of working autonomously and communicating remotely to team and management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of various applications and segments including in relevant markets
  • Competency in power, oil & gas, mining and general industries
