Unique opportunity to be involved with missionised aircraft delivering critical surveillance, and search and rescue functions for government contracts.
Technical Services Engineer

The Role
We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Services Engineer (Airframe and Mechanical Systems) to work with domain specialists and maintenance providers nationally supporting our missionised DeHavilland DHC8 Classic and Bombardier CL604 fleets.

The position is suitable for someone with either civil or military experience as our operation shares elements of both industries. This diverse role offers a unique opportunity to be involved with missionised transport category aircraft delivering critical surveillance, and search and rescue functions for government contracts.
Whilst the position is full-time, the nature of the work allows for flexibility with working arrangements including working from home and variable start and finish times. There is also the opportunity for interstate travel to work on-site at our various bases around the country.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Support the maintenance engineers with specialist advise for maintaining and troubleshooting of airframe and mechanical systems.
Review, assess and provide recommendations on manufacturer’s technical literature.
Liaise with equipment and aircraft manufacturers on technical and airworthiness issues.

Support airworthiness record reviews to maintain compliance and the fleet configuration.
Undertake special projects to enhance the technical status of the fleet.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant and cost-effective parts supply.
Skills and Experience
Aviation experience working in airworthiness management or technical services.
Relevant CASA (B1 AME/LAME), Tertiary, or equivalent engineering qualifications.
General knowledge of the DHC8 Classic and/or Challenger CL604 aircraft, or similar aircraft.
Knowledge of the aviation regulatory environment related to airworthiness and maintenance.
Proven ability to review, assess and write technical documentation and work instructions.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
