We are looking for a Technical Solution Consultant to join our A&G team in Australia. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who understands complex workflows, products and platforms and is able to simplify and persuade a wide range of audiences on how great Clarivate tools are! Specifically, the Technical Solution Consultant is responsible for providing presales support and consultancy to the sales team, prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle. You will be joining a team of 10 Solution Consultants and working closely with many other regional teams and the role reports to the Director of Solution Consulting. We are a great team with many coming from the industry we serve, from system librarians, bench researchers, publishers etc. and we would love to speak with you if you have experience working with library integrated systems or library service platforms in academic or public libraries.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information science or technology subject.
3 years of experience working with a library integrated system or a library service platform
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate at all levels to achieve win-win situations
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships
Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritise to meet strict deadlines
It would be great if you have . . .
Master’s degree in library/information science or related field.
Previous experience working in an academic library with library software, especially Alma.
A Collaborative approach and able to work well in a matrix environment.
A flexible and adaptable attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop in a constantly evolving organisation.
Experience responding to tenders, RFPs.
What will you be doing in this role?
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various Ex Libris and Clarivate solutions such as Alma and be able to effectively communicate the value of these solutions to customers.
Provide technical demonstrations of various solutions and build a vision of what the solution can achieve for key stakeholders at the customer’s institution.
Attend both virtual and on-premise conferences, marketing events and present thought leadership presentations and product demos to wide audiences.
Uncover the product related and functional needs of the industry, regional and specific customers’ and communicate those back to product management.
Provide relevant responses to RFIs/RFPs.
About the Team
The A&G Solution Consulting team are the product and customer experts that help drive sales success through their technical expertise and credibility. We work closely with our sales partners to showcase the value of Clarivate A&G solutions to customers as well work closely with product managers to ensure our client’s needs and future needs are being met. The team is spread throughout Asia Pacific so although this role is based in Australia and focused primarily on ANZ customers, we support customers from a variety of regions from South Asia to South Korea!
Hours of Work
This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours to potentially support Asia Pacific time zones.
Occasional travel is required.
