Role Location: Split between 839 Collins Street, Docklands and working remotely

Role Type:  Permanent, Full-time

As a Technology Assurance (Line 1 Risk) Analyst in our Group Technology Assurance & Controls team, you will support the technology operational risk excellence using the ANZ Risk Management Framework. You will be supporting the Group Technology domains and their teams to ensure their key risks are understood and well managed.

 

This is a junior level role opportunity in the Technology Assurance team and a great way to get yourself immersed in Line 1 Risk Management.

What will your day look like

As part of this role you will:

  • Work with other Technology Assurance Partners and Technology domains to improve risk maturity and proficiency, and provide line 1 operational risk assurance management
  • Background or qualification in Technology/Business Systems
  • Have experience in contributing and providing feedback on technology risk assessments for projects and initiatives
  • Communicate and present on risk related matters to internal groups
  • Be an active participant in Risk Management Forums
  • Support the domains and their operations teams in the continuous improvement of their risk management in line with I.AM, our Risk Management Framework

You’ll being an ability to foster strong working relationships with assurance and technology teams, and provide insights, advice and guidance.

To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:

  • A thirst for learning about risk management in a large financial services organisation
  • 1-3 years experience in financial services, or a large corporate environment, preferably in a risk related role (e.g risk, assurance, audit or compliance) – but not essential.
  • An understanding of risk principals and frameworks
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment and potential impacts
  • Ability to build strong and influential relationships across business and technology areas
  • An understanding of technology and technology operational risks, such as ALM, resilience, security, vendor management
  • A growth mindset - highly motivated by continuous improvement and seeking new ways to align processes, systems and culture to uplift and accelerate performance.
  • Curiosity - continuously seeking to understand industry trends and best practices that our people can use to actively and effectively manage risk within Technology.
