About the role:
We are looking for people who can help us deliver high levels of tenant satisfaction and can demonstrate actions that will reflect the NCCH values.
In contributing to the delivery our organisational mission, the Tenancy Manager is responsible for a portfolio of social and affordable housing properties. Key responsibilities of the role include: establishing new tenancies, conducting tenant service visits and routine property inspections, monitoring and actioning rent and non-rent arrears, following end of tenancy processes, conducting rental subsidy reviews and, adhering to policies, procedures and guidelines.

NCCH is contracted by the NSW Government to deliver essential services to vulnerable people. In accordance with NCCH's duty to provide and maintain a workplace where known hazards are mitigated wherever possible, in an effort to safeguard the health of our employees and their families; our residents (clients) and visitors; and the community at large from COVID-19, this position will require the incumbent to be fully vaccinated.
About you:
- Strong background in property management, or a solid understanding of social housing policy, procedures, products, and options
- Solid knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and its application—and be up to date with changes to laws and regulations affecting tenancy management – or an ability to acquire this knowledge quickly
- Problem solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to deal with clients from diverse backgrounds
- High degree of drive, initiative, motivation and outcome orientation, with the capacity to deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities
- Effective written (detailed oriented) and advanced verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective internal/external relationships
- Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Programs particularly Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to adapt and learn internal IT systems
- Hold a current NSW drivers licence and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Completed a Certificate IV (Social Housing) or a current Real Estate certificate of registration, or desire to work towards obtaining this.
