About the role
The Tender Preparation Specialist is responsible for carefully understanding briefs and technical specifications to prepare detailed and competitive tenders. Their expertise lies in understanding the unique requirements outlined by our clients and translating them into clear and precise technical specifications. By collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams, you source the most suitable equipment, negotiate favourable terms, and compile comprehensive tender documents. Attention to detail and ability to align our offerings with client needs play a vital role in securing projects, contributing significantly to our company's growth and reputation for delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse business requirements and specifications for each tender request.
Prepare detailed technical specifications for equipment and materials.
Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes, samples, and technical information.
Prepare comprehensive and competitive tender documents.
Analyse costs and prepare competitive pricing for tenders.
Ensure timely submission of tender documents.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and professionalism in tender submissions.
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new technologies.
Collaborate with internal teams for technical input and interaction.
Incorporate feedback from previous tenders to improve future submissions.
Analyse unsuccessful tenders and strategise for improvement.
Stay updated with industry best practices and tendering techniques.
Any other tasks as required from time to time.
What we are looking for

Key skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Procurement or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in Procurement, Construction, Retail industries.
Experience in Tender Preparation or related field.
Strong understanding of technical specifications.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven track record in managing complex tender processes.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time effectively.
Working Conditions:
This position primarily operates in an office environment but may require occasional visits to construction sites.
Standard office hours, with flexibility based on project deadlines.
Travel may be required to meet with suppliers, subcontractors, or visit project sites.
