Medtronic is looking to recruit a highly capable Territory Manager for our Medical Surgical sales team in Victoria. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will join a team of dedicated and talented professionals and gain world-class training and development. Our Patient Monitoring business works together with the global healthcare community to solve clinically meaningful problems, with technologies and solutions for blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise and perioperative complications.


A Day In the Life


The successful candidate will promote Medtronic’s Respiratory & Monitaoring Solutions (RMS) portfolio to specialists and clinical/technical professionals. He/she will practice effective territory management in terms of planning, organization and administration, along with timely and accurate expense planning and control.


In this role, you will:

  • Actively seek to develop and expand on territory management and selling skills and plan work to achieve or exceed sales targets

  • Be the product expert and provide education and training effectively to all clinical end users and hospital staff within assigned territory

  • Gather market intelligence (product, price, promotion, discount etc.) by observation, discussion or research, and seek to develop new business opportunities

  • Work individually and as part of the wider team to establish and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders

  • Ensure timely follow-up and prompt resolution to customer/patient technical and product issues, including after-hours support when needed

Must Have – Minimum Requirements

  • Several jurisdictions across Australia have established mandatory requirements for healthcare workers and others working in health care settings to be vaccinated with at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. To be eligible to apply and be considered for this role, Medtronic Australasia requires candidates to meet the conditions of the relevant and current Government directions (including Public Health Orders). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of vaccination before an appointment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and working knowledge of company products and services


Nice to Have

  • Proven clinical background and/ or sales experience within the healthcare industry, preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with having the patience and persistence to follow through

  • Highly organised with good time management skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities

  • Driven, self-motivated individual who can work well autonomously
