THE OPPORTUNITY
As the DECJUBA brand grows, we are seeking a creative and intuitive Textile Designer. Reporting directly to our Buying Manager, your role will be fundamental in supporting the delivery of commercial on-brand designs. Working closely with the buying team, this role encompasses a variety of design work across placement print designs, yardage prints, embroideries, artwork for accessories and labelling for the Decjuba, Decjuba Kids, and D-luxe brands.
As a Textile Designer at DECJUBA, you will work across 3 main verticals:
PRINT DESIGN
- Create placement and yardage prints for the Decjuba women’s range, Decjuba Kids, and D-luxe range
- Utilise Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
- Use creativity to develop new artworks in line with brand aesthetic.
- Ensure all artwork is correctly set up in preparation to send to suppliers
- Ensure all yardage artwork to be correctly put into repeats
- Ensure all screen print artwork has proper colour separations
- Ensure some knowledge of local and overseas market trends
- Participate in print trend research to assist buying team
- Provide input at artwork development stage to ensure design is commercial and in line with Decjuba brand aesthetic.
- Create artwork for accessories including, scarves, shoes, caps etc.
- Create packaging for Women’s and Kids accessories and toys
- Create labelling for Decjuba Women’s, Decjuba Kids, & D-luxe brands
- Always ensure labelling manuals are kept up to date and coded correctly
- Swing Tags, Call out tags, Disclaimer Tags
- Woven Labels for Active, Woven, Knit, D-luxe, & Kids wear
- Pocket Talkers and Denim Labelling
- Labelling for special collaborations and one-off events
- Labelling for Accessories and Jewellery
- Ensure all labelling spec sheets are set up correctly for suppliers with correct measurements and colours
You’re currently working in a similar role, or ready to take the next step in your career. You’re the perfect mix of creative and technical, with a passion for the fashion industry.
- Experience in a similar role
- Tertiary Design or equivalent qualifications
- Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent organisational, prioritising and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
