The role:
The Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation (TDR) is an intensive, nine-week non-residential AOD program aimed at supporting those experiencing AOD misuse.
Complete risk assessments for clients inclusive of family violence, suicidal ideation, and mental health concerns.
Provide program delivery to clients within the TDR program framework.
Provide AOD screening (BAC and oral) for clients when required.
You will have:
Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in providing a range of counselling, case management and group therapy interventions.
Demonstrated experience in engaging and managing difficult/challenging client behaviours.
Experience with Motivation Interviewing / Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Ideally have AOD Experience
Undergraduate degree (or near completion) in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare & Counselling, Social Sciences or other Health related degrees.
Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment.
Certificate IV/Diploma in Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD), or willingness to complete within 12 months.
Experience in working in a community health setting and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
You will also be willing to undergo police and Working with Children Checks, as well as provide 2 recent managerial references.
