The Role
Our national Intellectual Property and Trade Marks practice is currently looking for a Trade Mark Lawyer, Registered Trade Marks Attorney, or Trade Mark Paralegal to join our team in our Brisbane office.
Reporting to Partner, Belinda Breakspear, this is a busy, high-volume role which will see you registering both national and international trade marks. Operating a full-service trade marks practice, this is an exciting time to join our Digital & IP team.
Our team advises organisations of various sizes, from start-ups, established (ASX listed) businesses and government and research institutions, across a range of industries including biotechnology and life sciences, information technology, fashion, not-for-profit, resources and agriculture. This role will see you responsible for but not limited to; conducting trade mark searches, drafting search reports, prosecuting trade mark applications, conducting due diligence, oppositions and infringement matters, design searches and registration, and providing general trade mark and IP advice.
Experience
You will be a Trade Marks Lawyer, Registered Trade Marks Attorney, or Trade Mark Paralegal who possesses a minimum of 3 years' experience within a commercial law firm, trade mark attorney firm or specialist IP practice.
Coupled with a genuine interest in growing your career in the area of trade marks, you must have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. You are a commercially minded team player, who values working in a positive team environment.
