Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Qualified Painter to join our team in Toowoomba. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out painting projects with strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality finishes and exceeding client expectations. The ability to work independently and efficiently is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing any imperfections to ensure a smooth and even painting surface.
- Apply paint and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment as per project requirements.
- Select and mix paints to achieve the desired color and texture, ensuring consistent results.
- Ensure proper protection of surrounding areas and furniture during the painting process to prevent damage.
- Keep accurate records of materials used, time spent, and project progress.
- Work well independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Adhere to industry standards, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand their vision and deliver exceptional results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Requirements:
- Trade qualification in painting or a relevant field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
- Reliable and responsible, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and resources effectively.
- Proficient in preparing surfaces and applying various types of paints and finishes.
- Excellent communication skills to understand client requirements and work collaboratively.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
