Trades Assistant – Power Generation
Laverton
We are seeking a self-motivated Trades Assistant, to join our dynamic Power GenerationField Service team based out of Laverton.
Reporting to the Power Generation Supervisor, the successful candidate preferably will have a mechanical or electrical background with Field Service or workshop knowledge and experience.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Complete preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on engines /generators and related components at the customer site, or Cummins site
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and generators related components in the field and workshop
- Working alongside Technicians and Electricians in a workshop and the field
- General workshop/yard clean up duties
- The ability to work as part of a team, and independently doing Field Service routine maintenance
- General TA duties as required
- A strong commitment to safety and be compliant to safety policies and procedures
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Previous exposure to a workshop or Field Service environment
- Previous experience working with Diesel Mechanic Technicians or Electricians is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license
- High Risk license - Forklift advantageous
- Australian working rights
- Safety Focused and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive above award hourly rate paid as a permanent salary
- Overtime penalties for all work above standard Monday – Friday 38-hour work week
