JEM Earthworks is a family owned and operated business with our main office located at Glenlee, Rockhampton. Our crew are currently working out of South Walker Creek Mine and have been since 2015. JEM Earthworks have a small crew with large personalities, ranging in age, gender and qualifications.
Our work consists of general maintenance and construction, which includes but isn't limited to concreting, renovations/modifications, roofing, plumbing, small fabrication work, groundskeeping, and civil earthworks.
Qualifications & experience
- Qualifications, or experience, in a trade such as Carpentry, Mechanical/Fitter, Concreting, Plumbing, Boilermaker skills, and/or Trade Assistant.
- Standard 11 or willing to obtain
- Current Coal Board Medical or willing to obtain, and the ability to pass regular Drug & Alcohol testing
- Current drivers license
- Adhere to safety requirements and basic maintenance of machinery
Tasks & responsibilities
- Modifying existing buildings to suit expansion projects.
- Concrete slabs, footings and footpaths, ranging in size.
- Repairs/reroof existing buildings.
- General plumbing for shutdown village set-ups.
- General steel fabrication.
- Repair, service and upkeep regular maintenance on machinery and vehicles.
- Vegetation removal and poisoning areas across site.
- General labour work.
- General civil earthworks.
