Description

As a Level 3 train Driver, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Maintain and hold a relevant State Safe Working/Track Access Permit (SARC)
• Drive shunting locomotives, with or without locomotive remote control
• Undergo On and Off job tuition and training in locomotive and train management, including route knowledge
• Locomotive and vehicle provisioning, including daily locomotive checks
• Clerical - Complete any relevant paperwork required.
• Operating locomotives, including line haul, train inspections, air test, shunting and marshalling in all locations with or without distributive power, remote control and inclusive of driver-only operation
• Examining and certifying trains as ready for departure
• Promote operational performance

The position offered is permanent full-time, 40 hours per week. Rosters are serviced 24/7. Accommodation will be provided for overnight transit.

Profile

About you:

• Certificate IV in Train Driving
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of experience driving
• Safety focus - ability to determine risk and act and respond safely
• Team player - you enjoy interacting and collaborating with others
• Flexible - able to work on a rostered basis, full-time hours - 40 hours per week

To be considered for this role, you will need to undergo a CAT 1 Rail Medical, including a D&A test and provide certification of experience with your application.

New Zealand-trained and experienced train drivers are welcome to apply!
