Job description

Salary: $635.30 to $742.70 per week (dependent on age) Plus 10.5% Superannuation

Position Status: 12 Month Traineeship

Hours of Work: 35 Hours Per Week (9day fortnight)

Then a traineeship with Cowra Council may be the opportunity for you! Our program offers local school-leavers the unique chance to make a start on their working lives. An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and enthusiastic recent local Year 12 school graduate to join the Customer Service team at Cowra Council and complete a Certificate III in Business (Customer Engagement).

The Trainee - Customer Service Officer is part of a small team who are the face of our organisation, the successful applicant will be passionate about delivering positive face to face customer service experiences and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for processing front counter and over the phone customer transactions and enquiries using a variety of computer systems as well as liaising across all departments to refer customer services enquiries onto the relevant personnel.

The ability to maintain confidentially.
Previous experience in processing of credit card payments received at the counter and over the phone and cash handling experience (preferred)

Position Details

$635.30 to $742.70 per week (dependent on age) Plus 10.5% Superannuation.

12 Month Traineeship, with the opportunity for permanent employment after the traineeship is completed.

8am to 4:45pm, 35 Hour week with RDO every fortnight.

Employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
