About the role:
Commercial and Industrial Services provides key services to the Water Corporation’s commercial customers across the state including backflow prevention compliance on scheme water supplies, trade waste management, management of one-off industrial discharges to sewer networks and non-residential discharge to sewer networks.
This trainee role is a great entry opportunity to learn how the Corporation both manages and works with our commercial and industrial customers across our wide range of activities both in the field and office. As a part of this role you will successfully complete a Certificate IV qualification while implementing all aspects of the learning on the job, exercising an employee’s duty of care and demonstrating the values of the organisation.

Key skills and experience that you will bring to the role:
Completion of Year 12 education and/or demonstrated post secondary school learning
- Current driver’s licence – Minimum C Class
- Strong attention to detail, verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills to aid you in writing technical reports and understand how to follow a documented process
Ability to undertake field work and manual handling activities
You will be self motivated team player that demonstrates the willingness to learn from an experienced team with a can-do attitude
- Basic understanding of Water Corporation values and the importance of safety in the workplace
- Experience working within a customer focused environment is highly regarded
